After Kurai began with a simple idea: take the anime and manga we grew up on and translate it into something you could actually wear every day — not oversized bootleg graphics, but original artwork built with the same care as the shows that inspired it.

The name comes from the Japanese word "kurai," meaning dark. After Kurai is what comes next — the part of the story after the shadows, when a character steps into their own identity. That's the space we design for: bold, a little moody, unmistakably yours.

Every design starts as original art, not a stock graphic. We print in small batches on soft, durable cotton tees, made to hold up to daily wear and wash after wash.
